Repairing deteriorated steel is only half the solution. Cathodic protection prevents that deterioration from returning — and it is one of the most cost-effective long-term investments an infrastructure owner can make in submerged steel assets.
SubCon installs sacrificial anode systems — including aluminum and zinc anodes — directly on submerged structural steel elements. Anodes are staged, fitted, and secured by our commercial dive team to protect bridges, piers, bulkheads, and marine structures from ongoing electrochemical corrosion.
Cathodic protection is frequently specified alongside structural steel repair and pile encasement work — extending the service life of the repaired structure and protecting the owner's investment for years to come.
