Underwater welding and burning is one of the most technically demanding services in commercial diving. SubCon's union-certified divers are trained and equipped to perform structural welding and cutting operations below the surface in rivers, harbors, reservoirs, and marine environments.

Underwater Welding & Cutting Capabilities
Wet Welding
Direct wet welding operations performed by a diver below the water surface. Used for structural repairs, patch welding, and attachment work where dewatering is not practical.
Underwater Burning & Cutting
Thermal cutting and burning of submerged steel for structural removal, demolition, pile cutting, and modification work on bridges, docks, piers, and other infrastructure.
Structural Attachment & Fabrication
Welding of anodes, brackets, fender hardware, and structural attachments to existing submerged steel — executed to engineering drawings and specifications.
Emergency Structural Repair
